Jennifer L. WhiteAttorney
Jennifer White concentrates her practice on civil litigation with an emphasis on medical negligence, personal injury, and protecting the rights of the elderly. As a medical malpractice defense attorney for the first five years of practice, Jennifer knows firsthand that not every bad outcome is the result of negligence. In fact, she has had the privilege of representing many fine physicians and hospitals and knows that most healthcare providers work tirelessly to provide excellent care. Nevertheless, when negligence does occur and you or a loved one is injured as a result, you may not know where to turn for answers. Jennifer brings her insurance defense and personal injury experience to help you when there’s too much at stake to settle for less.
Jennifer was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2011 and is admitted before the United States District Court, Middle and Southern Districts. Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in history with minors in psychology and Italian studies from Florida State University, graduating cum laude. While attending Florida State, she competed on both the Model United Nations and Debate teams, winning individual and team awards. Jennifer graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in May 2011 and earned a certificate in International and Comparative Law. While in law school, Jennifer was President of the Trial Team and the Association of Public Interest Law. She was a member of Jessup Moot Court, served as Articles Editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy, and was active in fifteen organizations on campus. Jennifer was a teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing, Appellate Advocacy, and Trial Practice, and was a research assistant for the late Professor Michael Seigel. She received Book Awards for the highest grade in her class for Comparative Tort Litigation and Appellate Advocacy, along with honors in Legal Research & Writing and Trial Practice. Jennifer was twice a finalist for Student of the Year, after being nominated by her peers.
Jennifer is a member of the Order of the Coif, an honor society for the top 10 percent of law school graduates in the country. Coming from a family of teachers, she has a special place in her heart for students and education and still coaches the teams that she competed for at FSU and UF. She is also an Adjunct Professor for UF Law. Jennifer enjoys volunteering in the community, serving on the Ronald McDonald House Key Initiative Committee, Florida State University’s World Affairs Program, the Tallahassee Bar Association, the University of Florida Law Alumni Council, the Orange County Bar Association, and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
